The Valley of Flowers, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Uttarakhand, India, is a breathtaking destination renowned for its stunning alpine flora and picturesque landscapes. Your journey begins with a scenic drive from Rishikesh to Tugasi, where you’ll be captivated by the beauty of the Garhwal Himalayas. From Tugasi, you will trek to Ghangaria, the base camp for exploring the valley. This trek takes you through lush forests and alongside the Pushpawati River, offering mesmerizing views along the way. Once in Ghangaria, you will have the opportunity to visit the Valley of Flowers, a vibrant expanse filled with over 500 species of blooming flowers during the monsoon season. The experience is further enriched by a trek to Hemkund Sahib, a sacred Sikh pilgrimage site nestled amidst snow-capped peaks and a glacial lake. After soaking in the natural beauty and spiritual ambiance, you will retrace your steps back to Tugasi and then return to Rishikesh, leaving you with unforgettable memories of this enchanting journey through one of nature’s most stunning creations. The best time to visit this remarkable valley is from mid-July to August when the flowers are in full bloom, making it an ideal time for adventure lovers and nature enthusiasts alike.

Day 1: Travel from Rishikesh to Tugasi

  • 6:00 AM: Morning travel starts from Rishikesh.

  • 9:00 AM: Breakfast

  • 1:00 PM: Lunch at the restaurant

  • 4:00 PM: Snacks at Base camp Tugsi

  • 8:00 PM: Dinner at Base Camp Tugasi.
 

Day 2: Tugasi to Ghanghriya Stay

  • 6:00 AM: Black Tea/Coffee
  • 6:30 AM: Breakfast
  • 7:00 AM: Move to Govind
  • 11:00 AM: Pulna to jungal Chatti (2 km)
  • 1:30 PM: Hot lunch at Jungal Chatti, then trek to Ghangaria [8 km]
  • 5:00 PM: Snacks at Jungalchatti (only dinner if got late)
  • 8:00 PM: Dinner

Day 3: Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers

  • 6:00 AM: Black tea.

  • 7:00 AM: Breakfast.

  • 8:00 AM: Depart for the Valley of Flowers with a packed lunch (to be carried by clients).

  • 11:00 AM: Reach the Valley and return by 1 PM.

Important Notes:

  • No smoking, plucking flowers, or knives are allowed.

  • Carry water bottles, ponchos, rain gear, and waterproof shoes.

  • Return to Ghangaria and stay overnight.

Day 4: Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib

  • 5:00 AM: Black tea.

  • 6:00 AM: Breakfast.

  • 6:30 AM: Depart for Hemkund Sahib.

  • 12:30 PM: Reach Hemkund; return by 2 PM.

Packing List for Hemkund Sahib:

  • Carry only a day bag, head cover cloth, gloves, oxygen cylinder, and poncho.

  • Return to Ghangaria by 6 PM.

  • 8:00 PM: Dinner.

Day 5: Return Journey from Ghangaria to Tugasi

  • 6:00 AM: Black Tea
  • 6:30 AM: Breakfast
  • 7:30 AM: Move to Govind Ghat
  • 11:30 AM: Ghangria to Jungle Chatt, 8 km
  • 1:00 PM: Lunch Pulna
  • 5:00 PM: Snacks at Tugasi Base Camp
  • 8:00 PM: Dinner

Day 6: Tugasi to Rishikesh

  • 6:00 AM: Black tea.

  • 6:30 AM: Breakfast.

  • 7:30 AM: Move to Govind Ghat.

 

Inclusion

1. Accommodation (as per the itinerary):

  • Guest house in Tugashi (Day 1 and Day 5 as per

3. Support:

  • A versatile base camp manager who handles communication and deploys extra manpower in emergencies.
  • Mountaineering and first aid qualified professional trek leader.
  • Experienced high-altitude chef.
  • Local experienced guides (number of guides depending on the group size).
  • Enough support staff.
  • Sleeping bag, sleeping liners (if required), mattresses, and utensils.
  • 3 men all-season trekker tents (twin sharing), kitchen & dining tent, toilet tent.
  • Camping stool, walkie-talkie.
  • Ropes, helmets, ice axes, harnesses, gaiters, and crampons (if required).

4. First aid:

  • Medical kit, Stretcher, Oxygen cylinder, Blood pressure monitor, oximeter, and stethoscope.

5. Transportation (as per the itinerary):

  • Transport from Rishikesh to Tugasi and back (as per the itinerary).
  • Transport Tugasi to Govindghat, Pulna, and Badrinath and return as per the itinerary.

6. Mules/porters to carry the central luggage.

IMPORTANT POINTS

  • Trekkers must carry a copy of their photo ID for entry at forest check posts on the trek.-
  • Stay will be arranged at a homestay in Tugasi and camping at Ghangaria throughout the trek

The number of people per room depends on the availability at the time. These rooms are shared. The room division will be based on gender. The cost of your stay is included in your trek fees.

  • We have a cloakroom facility at the base camp for excess luggage. Anything beyond one piece of luggage is chargeable at Rs 500 per luggage. Do not leave behind any valuables in the cloakroom
  • Any additional cost incurred due to a landslide that happens before or after the trek will have to be borne by trekkers

Cancellation less than 9 days before the start of the trek Refund Options

  • No cash refund

Note: If a booking is made using a voucher or discount code, the policies related to vouchers and discounts cannot be modified. In the unlikely event that Trekking Cougars cancels a trek before the scheduled departure date:

While it is extremely rare for Trekking Cougars to cancel a trek, we understand that unforeseen circumstances or natural disasters may occasionally require us to do so before the scheduled departure. These circumstances could include continuous rain or snow, thunderstorms, snowstorms, landslides, floods, earthquakes, or any other natural calamity that poses a risk to the safety of our trekkers. Additionally, unforeseeable events such as local riots, curfews, pandemics, lockdowns, government orders, or any similar situations that compromise the safety of the trekking experience may also necessitate a cancellation.

In the event of such a cancellation, Trekking Cougars will provide you with a voucher equivalent to the amount you paid for the trek. This voucher can be redeemed for any of our treks within the next year, allowing you to still enjoy an adventure with us at a later date

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation due to Natural Disasters or Unforeseen Circumstances:

Suppose a trek is cancelled at the last minute due to a natural disaster or unforeseeable circumstances (such as floods, earthquakes, landslides, attacks, or bandh). In that case, Trekking Cougars will issue a Trek voucher for the full amount. The voucher can be used for the same or a different trek over the next year.

Client Cancellations:

  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the trek’s start date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made between 30 and 20 days before the trek will receive a 50% refund.
  • There will be no refund for cancellations made less than 20 days before the trek begins.

Please note that all refunds are subject to a 4% cancellation charge to cover processing fees. Additionally, trek insurance is non-refundable.

Trekking Cougars Responsibilities:

Trekking Cougars assumes no responsibility for any damage or injury to your clothing, equipment, or other belongings while on the trek. The trek fee covers all expenses associated with the trek, from start to finish, as outlined in the specific trek itinerary.
