Detailed Itinerary

Discover the Kareri Lake Trek, a scenic Himalayan gem.

• Day 1: Arrive at Kareri Village (9–10 AM)

  • You'll independently reach Kareri Village, a charming hamlet nestled in the Himachal Pradesh hills. • Upon arrival (around 9–10 AM), freshen up and enjoy a delicious breakfast at a local homestay. • After breakfast, we embark on the moderate trek towards Rioti, a quaint campsite amidst captivating surroundings. • The 3- to 4 hour hike winds through verdant forests, offering glimpses of diverse birdlife. • Lunch awaits upon reaching Rioti, where we set up camp for the night under a canopy of stars.

• Day 2: Rioti to Kareri Lake (10170 ft) & Exploration

  • A hearty breakfast energises us for the day's adventure towards the enchanting Kareri Lake. • The gradual ascent unveils breathtaking views of the majestic Dhauladhar range. • Upon reaching the pristine Kareri Lake (10170 ft), immerse yourselves in its serenity. • Capture stunning reflections of the snow-capped peaks in the crystal-clear waters. • The afternoon offers time to relax by the lakeside, explore the surrounding meadows on optional short hikes, or simply soak in the tranquility. • Savor a delicious lunch and dinner prepared by our experienced camp staff. • We spend the night amidst the serene beauty in comfortable tents.

• Day 3: Kareri Lake Descend & Departure (Extendable)

  • After breakfast, we bid farewell to the captivating lake and commence the descent back to Rioti. • Following the same route, we enjoy different perspectives of the landscapes. • A satisfying lunch awaits us at Rioti before we reach Kareri Village by afternoon. • From Kareri Village, you can arrange your return transportation to Dharamshala (not included).

• (Optional Extension Days):

  Extend your adventure and explore the environs of Kareri Lake for an additional cost of ₹1800 per day (inclusive of meals). This extension allows for further exploration of the scenic meadows or nearby peaks, depending on your preferences and fitness level.
