Brahmatal Lake itself holds deep religious importance, believed to be the meditation site of Lord Brahma according to Hindu mythology. Ideal for trekkers of all levels, the trek features moderate difficulty and minimal risk of altitude sickness due to its forested paths. Best experienced between December and March for snow trekking or April and August for vibrant flora, Brahmatal promises an unforgettable blend of adventure, natural splendor, and cultural immersion

The journey from Rishikesh to Lohajung spans 260 km and typically takes about 10 to 11 hours. Transportation will be provided from Live Free Hostel in Rishikesh, with a scheduled departure at 5:00 am. For those opting for a cab, the fare is Rs 7,000 per vehicle, while a Tempo Traveller, suitable for larger groups, costs Rs 11,000. The drive offers an opportunity to enjoy the scenic beauty of the region as you make your way toward the trek’s starting point in Lohajung, ensuring a comfortable and convenient travel experience.
The trek from Lohajung to Gujrani covers a distance of 4.6 kilometers and typically takes around five hours to complete. During this trek, you will experience an altitude gain from 7,600 feet to 9,200 feet. The journey, though moderately challenging, offers a rewarding ascent through the beautiful landscapes of the region. As you climb higher, you’ll witness a gradual change in the surroundings, with the lush greenery giving way to more rugged terrain. The trek is a perfect introduction to the stunning vistas and natural beauty that the region has to offer.
The trek from Gujrani to Tilandi spans approximately 2.9 kilometers and typically takes between 4 and 5 hours to complete. During this journey, trekkers will experience an altitude gain, starting from 9,200 feet and ascending to 10,495 feet. Although the distance may seem short, the climb is steady and requires a good level of fitness.
The trek from Tilandi to Brahmatal covers a distance of 5.5 kilometers, typically taking between 5 and 6 hours to complete. During this journey, you’ll experience a gradual ascent from an altitude of 10,495 feet to 12,250 feet. The trail offers a mix of challenges and scenic beauty, making it a rewarding experience for trekkers. As you progress, the elevation gain will be noticeable, adding a level of difficulty to the trek. This route is ideal for those looking to immerse themselves in the serene landscapes of the Himalayas while also testing their endurance.

During this trek, you’ll experience a significant altitude gain, starting from 10,495 feet and ascending to 12,250 feet. The trail offers a mix of scenic views and challenges, making it a rewarding journey for trekkers as they climb higher into the mountainous landscape.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation due to Natural Disasters or Unforeseen Circumstances:

Suppose a trek is cancelled at the last minute due to a natural disaster or unforeseeable circumstances (such as floods, earthquakes, landslides, attacks, or bandh). In that case, Trekking Cougars will issue a Trek voucher for the full amount. The voucher can be used for the same or a different trek over the next year.

Client Cancellations:

  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the trek’s start date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made between 30 and 20 days before the trek will receive a 50% refund.
  • There will be no refund for cancellations made less than 20 days before the trek begins.

Please note that all refunds are subject to a 4% cancellation charge to cover processing fees. Additionally, trek insurance is non-refundable.

Trekking Cougars Responsibilities:

Trekking Cougars assumes no responsibility for any damage or injury to your clothing, equipment, or other belongings while on the trek. The trek fee covers all expenses associated with the trek, from start to finish, as outlined in the specific trek itinerary.
