  • Day 1: Khadi Bahi to Deebri/Baghadhar (3-4 km)
    • Morning: Your adventure begins in the quaint village of Khadi Bahi, nestled near Kareri Village in Dharamshala. After introductions and gear checks, we embark on our trek, following a scenic path through dense forests teeming with diverse flora and fauna.
    • Afternoon: The trail gradually ascends, offering glimpses of the majestic Dhauladhars as we near Deebri or Baghadhar. Our campsite for the night will be set up in this scenic location, surrounded by the whispering pines and the serenity of the mountains.
    • Evening: Enjoy a well-deserved rest and a delicious meal prepared by our experienced camp staff. As dusk settles, gather around the crackling campfire and share stories under the star-studded sky.
  • Day 2: Deebri/Baghadhar to Deepgot (2-3 km)
    • Morning: After a hearty breakfast, we continue our trek towards Deepgot, the hidden gem awaiting us. The trail winds its way through meadows bursting with wildflowers (depending on the season) and offers stunning vistas of the surrounding peaks.
    • Afternoon: As we reach Deepgot, prepare to be mesmerized by the panoramic vista of the entire Dhauladhar range unfolding before you. From the mighty Bhim Ghasutri to the Indrahar Pass, and Gajj Pass, witness a breathtaking display of Himalayan grandeur. This secluded campsite offers a true escape into the heart of the mountains.
    • Evening: Spend the afternoon exploring the surroundings, soaking in the unparalleled beauty, and potentially spotting some fascinating wildlife like the Monal pheasant, Ibex, or even the elusive Himalayan red mongoose. As the sun dips below the horizon, capture breathtaking sunset photos and enjoy another delicious camp meal under a blanket of stars.
  • Day 3: Deepgot to Khadi Bahi (6-7 km)
    • Morning: After a final breakfast at Deepgot, we bid farewell to this hidden paradise and begin our descent back to Khadi Bahi. Retrace our steps, savoring the last glimpses of the majestic scenery.
    • Afternoon: The trail leads us back through the verdant forests, culminating in our arrival at Khadi Bahi. Celebrate the successful completion of your trek and reminisce about the unforgettable experiences with your fellow trekkers.

Inclusion

Exclusion

  • Transportation to and from Khadi Bahi
  • Personal porters (available at an additional cost)
  • Personal expenses (snacks, bottled water, tips)
  • Anything which is not mentioned in inclusions

Footwear

  • Waterproof, snow-proof trekking boots: Your primary footwear needs to handle all the terrain and potential snow on this trek.
  • Sneakers or Camp Shoes: For comfort at the campsite.
  • Warm Socks: Thick woolen socks for hiking, plus regular socks.

Backpacks

  • Main Backpack (50 ltr): To carry the majority of your belongings.
  • Daypack (20–30 ltr): For water, snacks, extra layers, and essentials during hikes.
  • Duffel Bag: Optional for extra items transported by porters.

Clothing: Layering is Key!

  • Waterproof Jacket & Pants: Breathable, essential for rain or snow.
  • Insulated Jacket: A down or synthetic jacket for warmth.
  • Trekking Pants: Water-resistant, ideally with a warm inner lining.
  • Thermal Layers: Base layers (top and bottom) for cold days.
  • T-shirts/Fleece: For variable weather.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation due to Natural Disasters or Unforeseen Circumstances:

Suppose a trek is cancelled at the last minute due to a natural disaster or unforeseeable circumstances (such as floods, earthquakes, landslides, attacks, or bandh). In that case, Trekking Cougars will issue a Trek voucher for the full amount. The voucher can be used for the same or a different trek over the next year.

Client Cancellations:

  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the trek’s start date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made between 30 and 20 days before the trek will receive a 50% refund.
  • There will be no refund for cancellations made less than 20 days before the trek begins.

Please note that all refunds are subject to a 4% cancellation charge to cover processing fees. Additionally, trek insurance is non-refundable.

Trekking Cougars Responsibilities:

Trekking Cougars assumes no responsibility for any damage or injury to your clothing, equipment, or other belongings while on the trek. The trek fee covers all expenses associated with the trek, from start to finish, as outlined in the specific trek itinerary.
