The Bali Pass trek demands experience and physical fitness. The route is strenuous, with technical sections and high altitude gains.   • Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (Pick up and reach Sankri by evening, 210 km)
  • Day 2: Sankri to Seema (Drive to Taluka (12 km) followed by trek to Seema (12 km))
  • Day 3: Seema to Rainbasira Waterfall (8 km trek)
  • Day 4: Rainbasira Waterfall to Thange Camp via Ruinsara Lake (10 km trek)
  • Day 5: Thange Camp Acclimatisation Day
  • Day 6: Thange Camp to Bali Pass Summit Camp (6 km trek)
  • Day 7: Summit Camp to Damini Camp (11 km trek)
  • Day 8: Damini Camp to Jankichatti to Dehradun (Taxi ride after breakfast)
  • Day 1: Dehradun to Sankri (scenic drive, 210 km)

    Kick off your adventure with a scenic drive from Dehradun to Sankri, a charming hamlet nestled amidst the Himalayas. Enjoy a picturesque journey along the Yamuna and Tons rivers, with captivating pine forests lining the route. Upon arrival in Sankri, check into your comfortable hotel or tent and savor the serene atmosphere. Take a leisurely stroll through the village to unwind and prepare for the exciting days ahead.
  • Day 2: Sankri to Seema (short drive & moderate trek, 24 km)

    Start your day with a thrilling jeep ride to Taluka, the official starting point of the trek. Embark on a moderate trek through enchanting mixed forests, following the Supin River. Immerse yourself in the rich local culture as you pass through traditional villages and witness unique architectural styles. Camp amidst the scenic meadows by the Supin River after reaching Seema, a small market town.
  • Day 3: Seema to Rainbasira Waterfall (moderate trek, 8 km)

    Follow the Supin River on your trek today, with Debshu Bugyal being your first checkpoint. Witness the majestic peak of Kala Nag (Black Top) in all its glory from Debshu Bugyal. Descend through a forested path with loose stones and sandy terrain before crossing the Supin River via a bridge. Ascend again with the Supin on your right, tackling some challenging sections with potential detours. Arrive at your riverside campsite for the night, surrounded by the calming sounds of nature.
  • Day 4: Rainbasira Waterfall to Thange Camp via Ruinsara Lake (moderate trek, 10 km)

    Bid farewell to the Supin River on this leg, as your journey takes you towards the captivating Ruinsara Lake. Witness the breathtaking beauty of Ruinsara Tal, a pristine lake surrounded by vibrant rhododendron bushes and meadows. Enjoy the scenic and moderately challenging trek to Thange, where you’ll camp amidst mesmerizing views. The campsite offers stunning vistas of Yamuna Kanta (pass leading to Yamunotri) and the majestic Banderpooch Peak.
  • Day 5: Thange Camp Acclimatization Day

    Dedicate a day for rest, acclimatization, and exploration at Thange Camp. Soak in the beauty of the crystal-clear Ruinsara Tal and the surrounding meadows bathed in warm sunlight. Embark on a short exploration of Kyarkoti, a region renowned for its breathtaking meadows. Spend the night comfortably at your Thange Camp tents, preparing for the next day’s challenge.
  • Day 6: Thange Camp to Bali Pass Summit Camp (strenuous trek, 6 km)

    Gear up for the final ascent to the Bali Pass summit! The trail becomes more challenging with rocky terrains. Witness a gradual increase in steepness after Bali Udiyari, leading you towards the summit. Reach the Bali Pass after a satisfying hike, and the panoramic views of the Garhwal ranges will mesmerize you. Capture breathtaking vistas of Swargarohini, Banderpooch, the underlying Yamnotri valley, and majestic Himalayan peaks.
  • Day 7: Summit Camp to Damini Camp (challenging trek, 11 km)

    The most exciting yet challenging part of the trek begins after conquering the Bali Pass. Descend a steep path filled with scree and large stones, demanding a high level of caution and skill. Navigate the challenging “goat road” section before reaching your campsite at Damini for a well-deserved rest.
  • Day 8: Damini to Jankichatti to Dehradun (moderate trek & scenic drive)

    Embark on your final trek from Damini, aiming to reach the Jankichatti road-head. Pay homage at the divine Yamunotri shrine along the way, seeking blessings for a safe journey. After approximately 4-5 hours of trekking, arrive at Jankichatti, where a comfortable vehicle awaits. Bid farewell to the Himalayas as you board the vehicle for a scenic drive back to Dehradun, marking the end of your unforgettable adventure.

  • Bottled Water:
    • Staying hydrated is key! Please bring your own reusable bottle or purchase bottled water as needed.
  • Personal Expenses:
    • Any souvenirs, additional snacks, or other personal purchases are not covered.
  • Optional Services:
    • Backpack Offloading: If you prefer to trek without carrying your full pack, a daily fee of Rs. 500 per bag applies.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation due to Natural Disasters or Unforeseen Circumstances:

Suppose a trek is cancelled at the last minute due to a natural disaster or unforeseeable circumstances (such as floods, earthquakes, landslides, attacks, or bandh). In that case, Trekking Cougars will issue a Trek voucher for the full amount. The voucher can be used for the same or a different trek over the next year.

Client Cancellations:

  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the trek’s start date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made between 30 and 20 days before the trek will receive a 50% refund.
  • There will be no refund for cancellations made less than 20 days before the trek begins.

Please note that all refunds are subject to a 4% cancellation charge to cover processing fees. Additionally, trek insurance is non-refundable.

Trekking Cougars Responsibilities:

Trekking Cougars assumes no responsibility for any damage or injury to your clothing, equipment, or other belongings while on the trek. The trek fee covers all expenses associated with the trek, from start to finish, as outlined in the specific trek itinerary.
