An honest answer — because you deserve one before you spend ₹10,780.
"Deepgot is not a packaged tour. It is not a route where mules haul supplies, coaches drop groups, or operators share infrastructure to split costs. It is a raw, remote, and completely uncommercialized trail — and that truth is woven into every rupee of the price."
No mule tracks lead to Deepgot. No supply roads exist. Every tent, every gas cylinder, every kilogram of food, every piece of safety equipment — is physically carried on the backs of our team from the base, up steep mountain terrain, before you even begin your trek. This human-porterage logistics is one of the heaviest costs in the entire operation.
Before Trekking Cougars first walked this path, the only people who had ever used it were shepherds — herders making the ancient crossing between Kangra and Chamba through passes that appear on no tourist map. We didn't discover a trail that existed. We followed shepherd footprints until Deepgot revealed itself. There is no pre-built infrastructure here. We build it, every time.
Commercial treks survive on volume — 300, 500, sometimes 1,000 trekkers a season share the cost of a single established camp. Deepgot has no competing operators, no alternate booking platforms, no cheaper version of this experience. This is an exclusive, fixed-group event. Every cost is carried by your group alone — and your group alone gets the mountain.
Deepgot remains one of the very few locations in Himachal Pradesh where trekker footprints are genuinely rare. No worn paths from thousands of boots. No plastic litter from seasons past. No overcrowded campsites. Just a mountain that has barely been touched — and a few hours that will feel entirely, unmistakably yours.
